What Is the Avinox Drive System?
Avinox is a complete e-bike drive system: motor, battery, display, wireless controller and app, all designed to work together. DJI brought its experience in compact, high-output motors and smart sensors from drones into cycling, and the result is a mid-drive motor that's smaller, lighter and more powerful than most of the established competition.

The Key Benefits of Avinox
Class-leading torque in a tiny package
The M2S puts out roughly 58 Nm of torque per kilogram of motor weight. In plain terms, you get more climbing power with less weight dragging you down. Steep hills, loaded rides and technical trails feel noticeably easier.
Boost mode for when it really counts
Alongside Eco, Trail, Turbo and Auto, Avinox has a dedicated Boost mode that delivers up to 150 Nm for 60 seconds. It's built for the moments that matter: a punchy climb, a rock garden, a tricky restart on a steep grade.

Fast charging
Avinox's 508 W fast charger can take the FP700 battery from 0 to 80% in about 1 hour and 16 minutes. That's a lunch break, not an overnight wait.
Lighter, higher-capacity batteries
Avinox batteries range from 480 Wh to 800 Wh, with energy density up to 220 Wh/kg on the FP700. You can choose integrated, removable or dual-battery setups depending on the bike, and removable options make charging easy if you live in a condo or apartment.
Smart features you'll actually use
Hill Start Assist adds torque when you start on a slope. Walk Assist makes pushing the bike uphill easier. Standstill Gear Change lets you shift without pedalling. You can even pair a heart rate monitor and have the system adjust assistance to keep you in your target zone.
Full control from your phone
The Avinox Ride app lets you fine-tune torque, power, assist levels and display layout, and changes sync to the bike instantly. Adjustments can also be made right on the touchscreen display or wireless controller.
Is Avinox Legal in Canada?
Yes. Every Avinox drive unit has a rated power of 250 W, well inside Canada's 500 W limit for power-assisted bicycles.
