Meet The Tern GSD
Style (Type & Comfort): The Tern GSD is a compact cargo bike. The GSD is designed to carry kids, groceries, or 400 lbs of cargo. It is the same length as a standard bike and the handlebars fold down so it fits into cars, trains, garages and apartments. The GSD is loaded with extras, such as, lights, rear rack, fenders, height adjusting handlebar and a heavy duty kickstand.
Performance (System, Power, Distance, Ride Modes, & Feel): The GSD can take you upto 32 Kph using the Bosch Performance system. The GSD has 4 levels of pedal assisted power. The speed/torque sensor senses how fast and hard you are pedalling and adds power to the crankarms to make pedalling easier and you go faster. The GSD is equipped with Bosch’s latest Dual-Battery technology. You can connect up to two batteries for a range of over 250km on the first level of assistance. Tour from dusk to dawn, or commute for weeks on a single charge.
Components (Benefits Tires, Brakes, Gearing, Fork): The GSD has a Shimano Deore 10 speed shifter and a Shimano Deore rear derailleur for smooth shifting, high quality powerful Magura MT5 hydraulic disc brakes for good stopping power, and Schwalbe Super Moto-X 20" tires for trouble free puncture resistant riding. The GSD uses extra strong Tern Atlas Boost thru-axles on its front and rear wheels to handle the heaviest loads and roughest roads.
Brand (Bike & System): Tern is an industry leader when it comes to electric and non-electric folding bikes. They have taken the knowledge they have gained from building non-electric folding bikes for many years and have applied it to producing quality electric folding bikes. The motor, battery and console used on the Vektron are manufactured by Bosch eBike Systems. Started in 2009 this offspring of the 100+ year old German multinational engineering and electronics company Bosch has quickly become a global leader in the electric bike world. Now over 70 leading bike brands worldwide use the Bosch components on their ebikes.
